Dear friends and supporters of the Feya Foundation,
2022 saw some major changes at the Feya Foundation. I'm writing to tell you with a heavy heart, we are closing the Foundation in 2023, and update you on what you can expect next. As you know, we're run by a small team of volunteers (just 4 of us!), each of us, like many others, has had a year of ups, downs, and extraordinary life changes. During one of our downs, we lost several of our corporate sponsors. While it's our time to close, we're going out with a smile and a helping hand, our team has voted to liquidate all funds, including operational funds into giving as much as we can in 2023. We'll be turning off recurring and new donations from sponsors as of 12/31/22, however everything we've raised so far will be going 100% to give funds and all projects that are underway will continue! Here's what to expect in 2023:
2nd full well system already underway, location in Uganda - on track for 2023 completion!
Approximately 30,000 meals - currently locating volunteers to pack and distribute
Additional donations TBD
Anything we have left in the bank will be given to our top partners in our final days: Kids Against Hunger, Drop in the Bucket, People City Mission, Lincoln NE. We encourage you, if you are looking to transfer your monetary gifts elsewhere, to consider the above partners - their work in fighting against extreme poverty is essential! I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart for any and all support throughout the years. Feya began as a project rooted in loss, with a need to lift up those who needed it most. Through the act of giving what we could, the loss transformed into hope and healing. I am honored to have been a part of what we've accomplished in the last several years, and although I will feel the loss of the organization everyday, I know that the opportunity to give back will never stop, and I'm here for what's next.
